Make sure you've caught up on the latest from The Paradox Press!

We've had a busy week at The Paradox Press.

On Wednesday, I continued my conversation with Dr. Philip Bunn on the great American novel East of Eden. In this discussion we talked about the second half of the book, why Calvinism appears in Steinbeck’s writings, and our anticipation of the new Netflix series.

Dr. Philip Bunn | Rediscovering East Of Eden (Pt. 2)
In this episode I talked with Dr. Philip Bunn. We continued and concluded our analysis and discussion on John Steinbeck’s masterpiece novel, East of Eden. We also talked a little bit about the new Netflix series coming out in October that is based on the novel.

On Thursday we released our newest essay from Dr. David Deavel on how G.K. Chesterton predicted the modern psychological movement and its power over the State. The essay includes one of the best poems Chesterton ever wrote—it’s a must-read if you want to know why the West is the way it is today.

Chesterton and the Psychological State
The end result is that popular psychology becomes a matter of half-baked theories known only through sloganeering.

Also on Thursday we released this week’s Thursday Club Note, in which I discussed why artificial intelligence is, at its core, anti-human. I talked about why the desire of tech oligarchs like Elon Musk and Sam Altman to make our world a workless world is very, very bad. Sign up to read!

The Thursday Club: There Is No Good Argument For AI
So when someone tells you that AI is good simply because it will eliminate work, you have to understand that their argument is not simply to eliminate work – it’s to eliminate people.

Next week we have a major announcement to make related to the Health Freedom movement and the upcoming midterm elections. This is a project we've been working on a lot over the past several months. Make sure to tune in on Monday.
