Hi all,
You may not know it, but yesterday marked the four-month anniversary of The Paradox Press. We launched this publication on May 30 with an essay on Localism by Dr. Dale Ahlquist. The goal of that essay was to set forth a clear vision for the publication and to state exactly where we stand on fundamental economic and political issues. Since then, we’ve released 17 essays, 4 Thursday Club Notes, and 1 open letter to President Trump and Secretary Kennedy and have stated our undying support for the maleness of Aslan (thanks to Dr. Louis Markos). On the podcast side, we’ve delivered more than 20 interviews with leading voices in reporting and scholarship, including Tucker Carlson, Carrie Gress, Emily Kopp, Dr. Mary Talley Bowden, and Dr. Patrick Deneen.
We’re doing well on the metrics side, too. In the first four months of this publication, we’ve amassed more than 12,000 page views—over 5,000 of those in the past 30 days. Those numbers exceed industry averages for a new niche publication like ours, and we’re happy about it. Alongside the website, the podcast has, in the past four months, garnered tens of thousands of views and listens across all platforms and has grown in audience size every day.
We know many of you have been sharing these essays and spreading the word about The Paradox Press. We really appreciate that. As the publication has grown over the past four months, we’ve been working out our exact business model. At first, we wanted to put essays behind a paywall—but we couldn’t do that. The essays were simply too good to hide. So we kept the essays and articles public and have moved toward pursuing advertising on the website.
With four months of essays, articles, and letters behind us, and a growing body of interviews, we’re happy to say that we’re only getting started. We have a lot coming in the next couple of months that we’re excited to share with you. But we still need your support. We’re offering a paid subscription because we need our readers' support in order to keep these essays, articles, and interviews free. So if you’re a fan of what The Paradox Press has already done, we ask that you consider becoming a member of The Thursday Club. The essays stay free but you'll receive a weekly note and an ad-free experience on the site. The link below gives you the Founders Discount: a 7-day free trial plus 50% off your first three months as a paid member. You can find that deal here: https://www.theparadoxpress.com/founders-discount
Finally, thank you again for engaging with our content and sharing it. It’s gratifying to us and to all of our contributors to know that real people are benefiting from what we’re doing.
God bless,
Andy Schmitt
